Moments...Part 1 Update

It's been some time since my last post but I'm back and ready to blog regularly again. Today is Sunday, Sept 08, 2019, and I'm sitting at my dining room table on my laptop while my husband and daughter are in the living room catching up on our favorite family past time, The Flash. As I sit here sipping on my cup of coffee, I start to reflect on all the amazing moment I got to experience during these last few months. I feel so lucky and blessed to be living the life I'm living : gratitude and appreciation towards all of life's gifts and lessons have opened up my heart and eyes to new and exciting possibilities.

Back in the beginning of April, during Alaina's Spring Break, Alaina and I flew down to LA to visit family. Due to the longer than normal Winter frost we were experiencing up here, I was super excited to soak in some SoCal sun and see the palm trees once again.

This trip helped me realized many things and opened up my conscious to the reality of lost love and family ties. After all that was said and done during this trip, the number one thing I learned from my family during this period was that no matter where my self sabotaging desires took me in the past, my family was always there waiting and will always be there for as long as this earthly experience allows us.
On the 2nd day of our trip, Alaina and I headed towards Souplantation in Arcadia, CA.

On our 3rd day, we met up with my sister in law, Liza, at Thien Tam Vegetarian Restaurant in El Monte CA for lunch. So good. I ordered the braised "cat fish" dish.

Alaina was asking for something cold to drink since it was a hot day.

More recently, back in early May, my Mom called me with the most exciting news I'd gotten in a long time. She wanted to come visit us up here in Washington state and was planning on to towards the end of the month -total dream come true! Ever since I was able to reconnect with my biological family, my biggest dream was to have them come up to to to Seattle and experience a bit of Washington life with me. My Mom, sister Kat, and little Halo drove up from LA and arrived here in Marysville on May 30th. We spent the next few days cooking amazing home cooked meals, relaxing at home and walking our pups and having meaningful conversations. I spent this time reconnecting with my little sister again and honestly, my soul was crying tears of happiness after all that transpired. This was truly the best gift of love I could've asked for. I will forever cherish all the amazing family memories we created for the rest of my life. I can't wait to see them again. I love my family so much.
We visited The Seattle Space Needle and got to experience the new glass floors.

After leaving the Space Needle, we headed towards the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. Wow, the displays were amazing. Everything was hand made by Dale Chihuly.

My husband, Hank, just finished his final school quarter at Everett Community College and will be starting his university journey this Fall - we are currently waiting for his Associates degree to come in the mail. To celebrate his achievement, I decided to take him and Alaina out for a family lunch and short nature hike. We drove up to the Bellingham area and made our way to a vegan/vegetarian friendly food spot called New Mexico Tamale Company located in Ferndale WA - just 10 north of
Bellingham.

After our delicious and filling lunch, I drove us to Whatcom Falls Park for a nice post meal hike. What a beautiful hidden gem! The parking lot was quickly filling up after we had parked but because of the strategically designed trails, the place didn't feel or look crowded.

This is part 1 in terms of 2019 updates. So much has happened since my last post - so grateful for all the recent memories we've made.
